A week after releasing the starters, the NBA has revealed the reserves for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game.
Eastern Conference reserves
Bam Adebayo, Miami Heat
Paolo Banchero, Orlando Magic
Jaylen Brown, Boston Celtics
Jalen Brunson, New York Knicks
Tyrese Maxey, Philadelphia 76ers
Donovan Mitchell, Cleveland Cavaliers
Julius Randle, New York Knicks
Western Conference reserves
Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns
Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors
Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers
Anthony Edwards, Minnesota Timberwolves
Paul George, LA Clippers
Kawhi Leonard, LA Clippers
Karl-Anthony Towns, Minnesota Timberwolves
Seven players from each conference were chosen by the NBA head coaches: two guards, three frontcourt players, and two more players of any position. Voting for players on their own squad was not allowed for head coaches.
In the event that a player is unable to play in the All-Star Game, Commissioner Adam Silver will choose a replacement who will play in the same conference.
On Sunday, February 18, 2024, the NBA All-Star Game will be held in Indianapolis. From February 16–18, 2024, All-Star Weekend will have three nights of festivities in total.
The West will play for the Indianapolis Boys & Girls Clubs, while the East will represent Special Olympics Indiana. Each player will receive $100,000 to begin the NBA All-Star Game, with an additional $240,000 going to the winning team’s charity.
The 73rd NBA All-Star Game will once again feature the legendary battle between the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference as the league honours basketball’s long history in Indiana. There will also be a resumption of the conventional four-quarter 12-minute scoring system.
The teams will still compete to win each quarter for a charitable organisation of their choice, even though the NBA All-Star Game will no longer include an untimed fourth quarter or end when one team reaches or surpasses the Final Target Score.
