The competition for the NBA playoffs in 2024 is fierce. With the NBA standings fluctuating so often, we’ll highlight the specific changes that occurred following each game night.

WESTERN CONFERENCE


1. Nuggets maintain their ranking at No. 2 after losing to the Clippers; they are now a half-game behind the Wolves(1st Position) and still ahead of the Thunder(3rd Position).

2. After beating the Nuggets, the Clippers maintain their position at No. 4, two games ahead of the Mavericks (5th Position).

3. After the Rockets fall to the Warriors, the Mavericks secure a top-10 seed, staying at No. 5 and gaining a one-game lead over the Suns(6th Position)

4. After losing to the Knicks, the Kings maintain their position at No. 8, one game behind the Pelicans (7th position) and Suns (6th Position), and only a half-game ahead of the Lakers (9th position).

5. Suns secure a top-10 seed following the Rockets’ defeat over the Warriors.

6. After the Rockets’ loss to the Warriors, the Pelicans secure a top-10 seed.

7. After defeating the Rockets, the Warriors maintain their ranking at No. 10, extending their advantage over Houston (11th position) to four games and closing the gap on Lakers to just 1.5 games.

8. After a defeat to Golden State, the Rockets fall four games behind the Warriors (10th Position).

EASTERN CONFERENCE

1. After defeating the Kings, the Knicks maintain their spot at No. 5, drawing par with No. 4 Magic (Orlando wins the tiebreaker), and falling short of the Cavaliers (3rd position) in just three games.

2. After losing to the 76ers, the Heat fall to No. 7, dropping to a half-game behind the Pacers and a half-game ahead of the 76ers (8th position).

3. After the Heat’s defeat by the 76ers, the Pacers jump to No. 6

4. After beating the Heat, the 76ers maintain their ranking at No. 8, closing the gap on the No. 7 Heat and No. 6 Pacers to just one game.
