Manchester United’s winger, Antony Matheus dos Santos, is allegedly eager to leave the Red Devils on loan and may be traveling to Turkey soon.
Antony has just played a few times for Manchester United this season and has informed the team that he wishes to leave on loan. The attacker is wanted by Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce, and the Red Devils are keen to let him go. Clubs in Saudi Arabia and the former Ajax are also interested parties.
A January transfer to Newcastle has also been suggested for Antony, given the ongoing uncertainty surrounding his future at Old Trafford. The Brazilian is fighting for playing time at Old Trafford after falling behind Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Amad Diallo, and Joshua Zirkzee in the pecking order.
He has simply failed to live up to his high price tag. After a challenging time with the Red Devils, Antony would have the opportunity to attempt and restart his career on loan away from Old Trafford. If Antony makes the move to Fenerbahce he will join former Manchester United manager Mourino at the Turkish club as well as ex-Red Devil Fred.
There is still time for Manchester United to consider making a bid for Antony since the Turkish transfer market is open until Friday. On Saturday, Erik ten Hag’s team will play Southampton in the Premier League once more.
