Collins Nathan reports that after the Boys in Green suffered yet another Nations League loss, there was a lot of frustration in the Republic of Ireland’s locker room.

Both of Heimir Hallgrimsson’s first two games in command have ended in 2-0 home losses. While a positive result against Euro 2024 finalists England was always a longshot, the loss to Greece will feel like more of a setback..

Ireland has only won two of the 18 games played since the Nations League’s founding. They currently look to be in a dogfight with Finland, who have also lost their first two B2 group games, in order to escape the relegation play-offs.

In Seamus Coleman’s absence, defender Collins, wearing the captain’s armband, claims the players are fed up with losing games. “There is a lot of frustration, a lot of people upset,” he said “We know it ourselves, there are too many times we are coming into that dressing room losing.”

“We’re sick of it, we need to step it up. We have changed the manager, changed things. We have played our best game there in a while, and we still lost. We need to change something.”
