Juventus won PSV 3-1 in the opening game of the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League campaign.

Goals from Kenan Yildiz, Weston McKennie, and Nico Gonzalez gave the Old Ladies the victory on their return to European football.

Having missed the last campaign, Juventus marked their return with a dominating win against the Dutch champions, Peter Bosz’s side.

Teenage forward, Yildiz ignited the victory to become Juventus’ youngest goalscorer at the tournament as he curled home a gorgeous strike after 20 minutes.

At 19 years and 136 days, the Turkish international broke the club record set by Alessandro Del Piero which he scored at 20 years and 308 days against Borussia Dortmund in September 1995.

The Italian side doubled the lead as McKennie side-footed Nicolas Gonzalez’s deflected pull-back into the net.

Gonzalez then got into the scoresheet to make it 3-0. The Argentine received a clinical pass from Vlahovic, then sent a lobbed ball over the goalkeeper.

However, a fine effort from PSV substitute Ismael Saibari gave the Dutch side a consolation, making it the first goal conceded by the Italians this season.
