The Sacramento Kings’ 2023-24 season was an exciting one. They finished with a 46-36 record, securing the 9th seed in the Western Conference. Although they didn’t improve on their previous season’s 48-34 record, they still made a strong showing.

The Kings kicked off their season against the Utah Jazz on October 25, 2023 and hosted the Golden State Warriors on October 27, 2023, at the Golden 1 Center. The Kings had 22 nationally televised games, including 11 on ESPN and TNT, and 11 on NBA TV.
As the 9th seed, they defeated the Golden State Warriors in the first stage but lost to the New Orleans Pelicans in the second stage.

De’Aaron Fox, the reigning “Clutch Player of the Year,” led the team alongside Domantas Sabonis. Kevin Huerter, despite an inconsistent season, remains a crucial 3-point option for the Kings. Malik Monk and Keegan Murray also played important roles in the team’s performance.

The new addition to the Sacramento Kings for the 2024-25 season are
Jalen McDaniels, acquired through a trade. Jordan McLaughlin, signed as a free agent, McLaughlin adds depth to the Kings’ lineup. Orlando Robinson, also signed as a free agent, Robinson brings fresh talent to the team. DeMar DeRozan, a key addition via a sign-and-trade deal, DeRozan is expected to make a significant impact alongside De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis.

The Sacramento Kings had some notable departures during the offseason. These players are Harrison Barnes, Chris Duarte, Davion Mitchell, Kessler Edwards, and Sasha Vezenkov.

The Sacramento Kings are looking to build on this season’s momentum, and with the addition of DeMar DeRozan, fans are optimistic about their chances in the 2024-25 season.
