Ligue 1 honours Moses Simon for milestone achievement

Moses Simon has been celebrated by the French Ligue 1 for reaching 150 league appearance for Nantes.

Simon made the significant career milestone for Nantes in the  1-1 draw against Angers on Sunday.

The Ligue 1 felicitated with the Nigeria international on their social media page. “Indispensable Moses Simon”, Ligue 1 wrote on X.

The 29 years old has so far registered 27 league goals and 29 league assists for the canaries.

Simon’s achievement places him among Nigerian players with the most Ligue 1 appearances, behind John Utaka (239), Wilson Oruma (196), Taye Taiwo (191) and Victor Ikpeba (170).

Moses has spent his entire Ligue career with Nantes, joining them on loan in 2019, from Spanish side, Levante. He later made the permanent switch to the French side in 2020.

The talented winger as so far recorded two goals and two assists in five leagues games this season for the Canaries. He has a total of 171 games for Nantes, with 31 goals and 34 assists.
