Udinese welcomes Inter Milan as both teams hope to bounce back from the league defeat to Roma and AC Milan respectively.

Maduka Okoye’s Udinese lost 3-0 to Roma last week, while league champions, Inter, lost to local rivals AC Milan, 2-1.

The painful derby defeat left Simone Inzaghi’s side 7th, on eight points, also inflicting their first loss of the 2024-25 season.

Inter have not won any of their last three matches and are also yet to win an away game this season. The Nerazzurri have drawn their first three away games across all competitions.

However, Inter has performed well in Udine, remaining unbeaten in 10 of their last 11 league matches there, with eight wins. The Italian champions will be desperate to put their campaign back on the right track.

Udinese have lost six of their last seven matches against Inter in Serie A, conceding 19 goals. They will have to be on their best to turn the tide around against Inzaghi’s Inter.

The Fruilani occupy fourth place on 10 points, winning their three games, drawing one before losing last weekend to Roma.

Including two cup ties, Udinese have now won all four of their home games so far this season, and there may be confidence in the camp that an inconsistent Inter side might be ripe for an upset.

Udinese goalkeeper, Okoye has called on his team to regroup quickly, stressing the need to move on swiftly.

“We started the season well, but the match against Roma was difficult. We faced a great team but now we need to immediately focus on the next games”, Okoye told the club’s official website.
