Osimhen finally scores in Galatasaray thrilling draw with Kasimpasa

Victor Osimhen has finally opened his Galatasaray’s goal account as he scored twice in the 3-3 draw to Kasimpasa.

The Super Eagles forward opened the scoring in the 20th minute as he controlled home a perfect cross from Abdulkerim Bardakci.

The Napoli loanee added his second in style, eight minutes later. Receiving a brilliant through pass from Gabriel Sara, Osimhen controlled with his right knee and thundered a powerful shot home with his left foot.from ‘s brilliant pass.

His brace gave Galatasaray an early 2-0 lead. Mauro Icardi made it 3-0 with a volley as the Turkish champions looked set to coast home.

However, Kasimpasa roused themselves and fought back to draw 3-3 and earn a point. Kasımpaşa pulled one back a minute before half-time through Mamadou Fall’s volley.

Kasimpasa thought to have been awarded a penalty in the early stage of the second half after the ball seemed to have struck Ismail Jakobs arm. However, it was cancelled after VAR check.

Another penalty claim happened as the ball once again struck Jakobs arm. Haris Hajradinovic then scored from the penalty spot to reduce the deficit in the 83rd minute.

The visitors completed the comeback in stoppage time courtesy of Nuno Da Costa strike in the 95th minute.

Galatasaray tried to get a winner immediately but were denied by their opponents crucial defending. The champions remain top of the league despite the disappointing draw.

Meanwhile, Osimhen has now scored two goals and registered three assists for Galatasaray in four games.
