Bayer Leverkusen won 1-0 against AC Milan, courtesy of goal from Nigeria international, Victor Boniface.
Boniface’s second half goal condemned Milan to their second defeat in two Champions League games.
The Nigerian striker hammered in a rebound early in the second half after previously having a goal disallowed for offside.
Milan were unlucky not to get on the scoresheet as they had two big shouts for a penalty turned down.
Firstly, Tammy Abraham was bundled over inside the box by Tapsoba but the on-field decision of no penalty from the Swiss referee Schärer was upheld.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek appeared to be stamped on, but again, the referee ignored and signalled for play to continue.
However, the loss lead to Milan’s second in the tournament, after their matchday one loss to Liverpool.
