Raphinha scored a hat-trick as Barcelona defeated Bayern Munich 4-1 at the Estadi Olimpic.
Barca made it back-to-back victories in the Champions League, as Hansi Flick secured an emphatic victory against his former club. Robert Lewandowski also got on the scoresheet against his former team.
The Catalans got off to a dream start, as they scored in the first minutes of the game. Fermin Lopez’s through ball reached Raphinha, who was composed to finish off the 1-on-1 against Manuel Neuer.
Bayern Munich reacted quickly as Harry Kane struck in the 11th minute, only to be denied by VAR.
The English striker struck again in the 18th minute as Bayern got their equaliser.
However, Barcelona re-took the lead courtesy of Lewandowski in the 36th minutes, following an assist from Lopez.
Barca extended the lead in the last minute of the first half as Raphinha got his second of the night. The Brazilian once again finished excellently after being played in by Marc Casado.
The former Leeds attacker completed his hat-trick in 56 minutes, as he slotted home from a Lamine Yamal’s assist.
Barcelona now have six points in the league phase, after losing their opening round at AS Monaco.
Flick’s side will hope to extend the form as they play arch-rival, Real Madrid on the weekend.
