Ademola Lookman scored two goals and assisted another two as Atalanta destroyed Hellas Verona at home.
Atalanta won 6-1, courtesy of braces from Lookma and Mateo Retegui, with singles from Marten de Roon and de Ketelaere.
Atalanta took the lead with just six minutes into the game. Lookman got down the left and rolled across for de Roon to sweep it into the roof of the net.
Moments later, Lookman’s effort was deflected into the path of Mateo Retegui to score from the same position as de Roon.
De Ketelaere curled a magnificent left-foot finish into the far top corner from just inside the box, to make it 3-0
Lookman got his on the scoresheet as he sent a shot into the bottom corner. The Nigerian made it 5-0, as he got his second of the game.
The former Everton man started the move from midfield, then was ready to tap in Ederson’s pull-back.
Verona thought to have scored few moments later, as Amin Sarr’s scorcher hit the inside of the post in his first Serie A start. However, it was ruled out for offside.
Sarr later got his goal soon with a half-volley finish into the top corner to give Verona some consolation.
Atalanta completed the rout as Retegui also got his brace. The Italian striker ran onto de Ketelaere pass before firing into the net from six yards.
