Tottenham star Richarlison is expected to be out until early December. On Sunday afternoon, Tottenham Hotspur secured an impressive 4-1 victory over Unai Emery’s Aston Villa in the Premier League.
However, this win came at a cost as both Richarlison and Cristian Romero had to leave the game due to injuries. Since joining Tottenham from Everton in the summer of 2022, Richarlison has faced a tough time.
He has struggled with frequent injuries and inconsistency which have prevented him from reaching his full potential. This season has been no different, as he continues to deal with various injury issues in North London.
Richarlison missed the entire month of September with an unspecified training injury. Recently, the 27-year-old made a comeback after being sidelined. He had the opportunity to impress against Aston Villa at home and did not disappoint.
Unfortunately, Richarlison is now expected to miss at least four weeks because of a hamstring injury. Meanwhile, Cristian Romero is still being evaluated for his minor toe injury ahead of the upcoming games.
The latest setback means the South American star will not return to action until early December. He is set to miss the rest of November, starting with Thursday’s Europa League trip to Galatasaray.
The Spurs boss will also be without the ex-Everton man’s services against Ipswich Town, Manchester City, AS Roma, Fulham and Bournemouth at least.
Richarlison could target a comeback from injury for Tottenham’s big game against Chelsea at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on December 8. In his absence, Timo Werner will look to step up and show his value to the team. While academy graduate Mikey Moore should be getting minutes as well.
The Brazillian injury is a big setback to Big Ange and Co. They can only hope he returns back fitter and stronger in December.
