Ollie Watkins and Curtis Jones’ brilliant backheel on his debut helped England win 3-0 against Greece.
The victory moves Lee Carsley’s men top of Group B2 in the UEFA Nations League.
Carsley’s side exacted revenge in Athens having been defeated 2-1 by Greece at Wembley. They now share same points (12) but ahead on goal difference.
England opened the scoring in the seventh minute as Noni Madueke beats four players, before cutting back for Watkins to slot home from close range.
The English team were close to adding the second early in the second half when Jude Bellingham’s header hit the post.
However, in the 77th minute, Bellingham latched on to a first-time pass from debutant Morgan Rogers and drive a low shot onto the left post. The ball rebounded onto the leg of the diving Greece goalkeeper, Odysseas Vlachodimos, back into his net.
Jones completed the rout six minutes later, receiving a Morgan Gibbs-White’s cross and sending a brilliant backheel past Vlachodimoss.
Aside Jones and Rogers, Newcastle’s Lewis Hall also made his debut for England.
