Barcelona are considering a move for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, although there are concerns about what this might mean for Lamine Yamal.
Salah’s Liverpool contract expires next summer. The Egyptian recently fueled speculation that he could leave by admitting he feels “more out than in”. He definitely won’t be short of suitors, with a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia on the table, as the high-profile contract saga intensifies.
Signing Salah won’t be easy for La Blaugrana, however. He would demand a salary that would put him on par with the club’s highest-paid players. Barcelona already boast one of the finest right-wingers in the world in Yamal.
Some at the club argue Salah’s signing is unnecessary. They feel highlighting Yamal’s youth – at 17, he is 15 years younger than Salah – and his immense talent as reasons to focus on his development instead.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot isn’t disturbed by the rumours linking Salah with a move from Anfield. The attacker will win to win more goals when the Reds take on Barcelona’s rivals Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.
