Ruben Amorim wants to help Rashford but insists the winger must be ready to improve 

Ruben Amorim has expressed his intention to help Marcus Rashford improve his form at Manchester United. However, he emphasized that he must first have the desire to perform well.

Rashford scored in United’s 1-1 draw against Ipswich on Sunday, ending an eight-game goal drought in the Premier League. He played as a central forward, which is not his usual position, and struggled to be involved in the game after scoring.

Currently, Rashford has scored five goals in all competitions this season, with two of those coming in the league. Amorim, the new Manchester United manager, is eager to help Rashford get back to his best.

However, Amorim stressed that Rashford must be the one to push himself to return to his previous level of performance. He explained that the central forward position is not ideal for Rashford, especially in a game that required high pressure and constant ball kicks.

He said the team will work to find the right role for Rashford, as they will for other players. But ultimately, Rashford must take the initiative to improve. Amorim assured that Rashford will receive support from the staff, club, and fans, but it is up to him to make the effort.

Rashford will have another opportunity to impress United fans when they play FK Bodø/Glimt in the Europa League at Old Trafford on Thursday. United will then face Everton in the Premier League at home three days later.
