Brighton & Hove Albion will host Crystal Palace in the A23 derby this Sunday, marking the 142nd encounter between the two teams. Brighton has had a better start this season compared to Palace, but they are currently on a three-match winless streak, placing them seventh in the league.

Last week, Brighton missed out on securing three points against Leicester City, conceding two late goals after taking the lead. They also drew 1-1 with Southampton in their last home game. Brighton has struggled against teams in the bottom four, failing to win any of their last five matches against them.

Crystal Palace is currently in the bottom four but has shown improvement lately. They managed a 2-2 draw with Manchester City and won against Ipswich Town recently. They are now four points clear of the relegation zone and are unbeaten in their last three away games.

Brighton’s Danny Welbeck may return to the starting lineup after recovering from injury. However, several other injured players’ statuses are uncertain, with varying chances of returning. Palace might see a relatively unchanged side, as manager Oliver Glasner likely won’t make significant changes after last week’s strong performance against City.

Brighton & Hove Albion possible starting lineup: Verbruggen; Lamptey, Van Hecke, Dunk, Estupinan; Baleba, Ayari; Minteh, Joao Pedro, Mitoma; Welbeck

Crystal Palace possible starting lineup: Henderson; Chalobah, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Hughes, Lerma, Mitchell; Sarr, Mateta, Eze
