Nikola Jokic and Russell Westbrook made history in the Denver Nuggets’ 124-105 win over the Brooklyn Nets. They became the first pair of teammates to record a triple-double in the same game multiple times in a single season.
Jokic finished with an impressive 35 points, 15 assists, and 12 rebounds, marking his NBA-leading 15th triple-double of the season. Westbrook had 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, securing his 202nd career triple-double, the most in NBA history.
This achievement is even more remarkable considering they’re also the first duo to record a 25-point triple-double in the same regular-season game. Their synergy on the court is undeniable, with Westbrook crediting Nuggets coach Michael Malone for giving him the freedom to play his game.
The Nuggets are now 12-4 with Westbrook in the starting five and sit fourth in the Western Conference with a 22-15 record. They’ll look to continue their momentum against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.
