Former Real Madrid and Bayern Munich player, James Rodriguez, has signed for Club Leon on a free transfer after leaving Rayo Vallecano.

The Columbian only joined Vallecano last year, playing just half a season with the Spanish club. However, he left as a free agent, after mutual agreement.

Having enjoying a brilliant Copa America campaign with Colombia, James switched back to Spain, hoping to revive his club career

However, the South American failed to make an impact at Vallecano, making just six LaLiga appearances, with only a start.

Meanwhile, since leaving Madrid in 2020, James has not spent more than a season at any club, despite touring several.

He has played for Everton, Al-Rayyan, Olympiacos and Sau Paulo, before switching to Vallecano.

The 33-year-old has now joined Liga MX side Leon, just weeks after leaving La Liga.

The Mexican side got really creative with the player’s announcement, unveiling the Columbian as a gladiator.
