Barcelona defeated Real Betis 5-1 at the Estadi Olimpc to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey.
Coming from a proud triumph over Real Madrid, Barca enjoyed another convincing victory over Betis.
The Catalans started the party early as they were ahead in the first third minute of the game.
Gavi gave Barca the lead as he stabbed home Dani Olmo’s cutback in the 3rd minute.
Barcelona made it two-nil in the 27th minute through Jules Kounde’s volley. The defender smacked home Lamine Yamal’s gorgeous ball into the back of the net.
Hansi Flick’s side had two goals disallowed by VAR and had to wait for the second half to get there third goal.
Raphinha made it 3-0 as he converted another assist from teenage star, Yamal, in the 58th minute.
The Catalans kept enjoying the dominance, answering all the questions and nine minutes after, they got the fourth of the night.
Substitute Ferran Torres made it 4-0 after meeting got Dani Olmo’s exquisite through ball.
Yamal also marked his name on the scoresheet, making it his third goal in a row. The Spanish winger, who already had two assists to his name, found the back of the net for Barcelona’s fifth.
However, Vitor Roque netted a consolation for the visitors from the penalty spot, against his parent club.
Flick’s side are now in the quarter finals, and are likely favourites to win the Copa del Rey.
