Atletico Madrid enjoyed a convincing 4-1 victory over RB Salzburg to progress in the UEFA Champions League.
The victory helped the Rojiblancos seal their place in the last 16 of the Champions League.
It was a dream start for Diego Simeone’s side as his son Giuliano Simeone opened the scoring inside the opening five minutes.
Few minutes after, the Argentine set up Antoine Griezmann to find the back of the net from close range. The Frenchman made it 3-0, netting his second in the final minutes of the first half.
Diego Someone’ side buried the contest in the hour mark, as Marcos Llorente got himself on the scoresheet after a fine assist from Rodrigo De Paul.
The Austrian side then got a late consolation goal, courtesy of a 90th minute goal from Adam Daghin.
The result means that Atletico finish fifth in the league phase standings of the UEFA Champions League.
