AC Milan and Inter Milan both shared the points as they played a 1-1 draw at San Siro.

Tijjani Reijnders and Stefan de Vrij both scored for their teams as Inter left it late to get the leveller.

The clash was an open match with both teams desperate to win, from the beginning of the match.

Inter thought to have scored first after Federico Dimarco had the ball in the back of Mike Maignan’s net inside seven minutes. However, it was ruled out due to Lautaro Martinez roaming offside before squaring to him.

Milan responded also with Christian Pulisic’s shot was deflected behind to leave the contest bare.

The Nerazzurri then became the brighter side, as they continue to pushed for the opener.

Nicolo Barella had a shot saved before Martinez turned Hakan Calhanoglu’s cross wide from an awkward position.

The Argentine then had a goal ruled out due to Barella roaming offside, before having his effort blocked by Strahinja Pavlovic.

However, Rossoneri then took over as the threatening side, with Reijnders’ strike requiring an eye-catching save.

The hosts then broke the deadlock as Yann Sommer got a hand to Leao’s low ball, only to Reijnders for the midfielder to open the scoring.

Simone Inzaghi side went on pushing for an equaliser but had to wait till the last minute of regular time.

The visitors had more frustrating moments as Martinez had another goal ruled out.

The post came to Milan’s rescue twice more to deny Marcus Thuram and Dumfries, before Maignan bravely rushed out to stop the latter.

Inter finally got the leveller when De Vrij to instinctively turn home, to extend Inter’s unbeaten run in Serie A to a current league-high 17 matches.
