We’ll Give Everything To Defeat Manchester City — Erik Ten Hag

Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag has promised the club’s supporters that his players will make sure they put their all in defeating their rivals Manchester City, when both teams meet in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

Ten Hag said this at Old Trafford yesterday, after his side saw off Fulham 2-1, to end their League campaign on a high. The Dutch manager also thanked the club’s supporters for their unwavering support throughout the 2022/23 season.

His message reads: “First of all, I want to say thank you to our players,” he said. “I think they played a brilliant season and I want to thank you, also, they get supported by the staff, so I would also say thank you to the staff, who also did a magnificent, good job.

“Secondly, I want to thank you all,” he said to the fans. “We felt a really strong bond during the season, at Old Trafford and also away. So I want to thank you for the season, for the contribution, for backing us, for the support, and it was great, so thank you.

“When I say these words, there is still one game to go, and I am sure, that these players will give everything to beat Manchester City next week. So we count on you as well. They will give everything if you are backing us. I am sure we have a really good chance to take the cup back to Old Trafford.”

Having ousted Brighton & Hove Albion in the semi-final of the FA Cup some weeks back, United will take on Premier League champions, City, at Wembley Stadium next Saturday, in what promises to be a mouthwatering encounter.
