Real Madrid celebrated their former player and club legend, Cristiano Ronaldo, on his 40th birthday.
The Spanish side sent an emotional message to one of their greatest legends as they remember his 40th birthday.
“Dear Cristiano, on behalf of Real Madrid, we want to send you our warmest congratulations on your 40th birthday. All Madridistas are proud of your legacy and of what you represent for our history. Have a wonderful day with your family and loved ones.”
Cristiano Ronaldo joined Madrid from Manchester United in July 6, 2009. He went on amassing credentials to become the club’s legend.
The February 5-born Portuguese was born in Funchal, Portugal. He then started his career with Sporting Lisbon.
Ronaldo was later sold to Manchester United in 2003 before making the switch to the Spanish giants after 6 years.
His nine seasons with Madrid was blistering. He scored 451 goals, making him the club’s all-time top scorer.
The Portuguese also won 16 titles, including 4 Champions League, 3 Club World Cups, 3 UEFA Super Cups, 2 La Ligas, 2 Copa del Rey, and 2 Spanish Super Cups, along with countless individual accolades and records.
For that reason, the club shared a message on its social media on the occasion of his birthday.
