Barcelona gave Valencia a heavy 5-0 defeat in the quarter finals of the Copa del Rey.
A hat-trick goal from Ferran Torres and singles from Fermin Lopez and Lamine Yamal gave the Catalans the victory.
Torres scored a hat-trick inside the first 30 minutes, helping Hansi Flick’s side leapfrog his boyhood club to the semis.
The Spanish forward opened the scoring Torres after just two minutes from a quick counterattack. Receiving a through ball from Alejandro Balde, the Spainard made no mistake from close range.
He then made it 2-0 after firing home on the rebound after a Lamine Yamal strike ricocheted off the post 15 minutes later.
Barca continued the dominance and it paid off as they got the third goal five minutes later, courtesy of Fermin Lopez.
Torres gave Barca a four-goal lead on the half-hour mark with a fine strike from the edge of the box.
On the restart of the game, Yamal completed the rout as he added a fifth goal in the 52nd minute. The talented youngster found the net with a strike that deflected off both Mouctar Diakhaby and Yarek Gasiorowski.
The victory sent Barca to the semifinal of the Copa del Rey, joining Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad.
Meanwhile, the Catalans made it 12-1 against Valencia within two weeks. Earlier, Barca won 7-1 before earning the 5-0 triumph.
