Galatasaray lost 4-1 to Dutch side, AZ Alkmaar in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League play-off.
The Turkish giants were hammered by the Dutch, wh take a healthy lead to Istanbul.
The Dutch side opened the lead by Sven Mijnans’ superb free-kick. However, Roland Sallai’s exquisite equaliser from range cancelled the opener.
Meanwhile, Troy Parrott’s penalty put AZ back in front before the break, before Kaan Ayhan’s cheap red card for a second offence, exposed Gala.
Jordy Clasie scored the third before David Wolfe sealed the victory, to leave AZ with one foot in the last 16.
