Leicester City’s struggles continue as they suffer a heavy 4-0 home defeat to Brentford, extending their winless run at the King Power Stadium to seven games.

Disappointed Foxes fans either booed or left early as Brentford dominated the first half, scoring three goals in 45 minutes. Mikkel Damsgaard provided assists for Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo, who both scored impressive goals.

Mbeumo then set up Christian Norgaard to head in a free-kick. Brentford could have scored more, but Kevin Schade’s header hit the woodwork, and Keane Lewis-Potter’s goal was ruled out for handball.

At half-time, former Leicester captain Wes Morgan told Sky Sports, “It’s been awful. Leicester seem lost on the pitch.” Ex-Leicester striker Alan Smith added, “There are many Leicester players who don’t want the ball and when they do, they don’t know what to do with it.”

In the second half, Brentford eased off as heavy rain poured down, giving home fans another excuse to leave. The loudest cheer from Leicester supporters only came when Stephy Mavididi and Facundo Buonanotte were substituted on early in the half.

Despite slowing down, Brentford still added a fourth goal late in the game with Fabio Carvalho’s goal. Brentford’s victory secured their back-to-back wins of the season and a club-record fourth consecutive away win in the Premier League.

For Leicester, this defeat marked their sixth consecutive home game without a goal. Their last win at the King Power Stadium was on December 8 against Brighton.
