Bayern moves 11 points clear in comeback victory

Bayern Munich came from behind to defeat Stuttgart 3-1, as the league leaders moved 11 points clear at the Bundesliga.

Goals from Michael Olise, Leon Goretzka and Kingsley Coman earned the Bavarians the away win.

The hosts stunned Bayern in the 34th minute with a fine individual effort. Angelo Stiller received as pass from Josha Vagnoman before working his way,  sending the ball beyond Manuel Neuer’s grasp.

However, Vincent Kompany’s side restored parity just before half-time. Having been slipped in by Leroy Same, Michael Olise curled his strike into the top left-hand corner.

Bayern completed the comeback just after the hour when Leon Goretzka stole possession inside the Stuttgart area and finished past Alexander Nubel from close range.

Kompany’s side sealed the victory courtesy of Coman’s finishing. The Frenchman intercepted Vagnoman’s poor backpass before rounding Nubel and finishing from distance.

The German giants are now 11 points ahead of second-placed Bayer Leverkusen, who plays Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

The league leaders will hope to reclaim their title, having lost the trophy last season to Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen.
