Donovan Mitchell was on fire as he led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a stunning comeback victory over the Boston Celtics, overcoming a massive 22-point deficit to win 123-116. Mitchell scored 41 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter, to seal the deal for the Cavaliers.
The Celtics had a blistering start, sprinting out to a 25-3 lead, with Jayson Tatum scoring 30 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists in the opening 24 minutes. However, the Cavaliers refused to give up, going on a 41-22 run to get back into the game.
Evan Mobley was also instrumental in the Cavaliers’ comeback, scoring 13 points and grabbing eight rebounds in the final quarter. Darius Garland added 20 points and seven assists to help the Cavaliers secure their ninth straight victory.
The Celtics, despite missing starters Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis, put up a good fight, with Tatum finishing with 46 points, 16 rebounds, and nine assists, and Jaylen Brown adding 37 points. However, it wasn’t enough to overcome the Cavaliers’ relentless comeback.
