A celebration is in order in North London, courtesy of Arsenal’s impressive Champions League performance. Although they may not win any trophies this season, their exploits in various areas are noteworthy.

The striker-less Arsenal scored seven goals against PSV in the Netherlands, a team that has been inconsistent this season. PSV suffered their third defeat, courtesy of Arsenal’s 7-1 thrashing. This loss was the club’s biggest in their 112-year history and Arsenal’s first under Mikel Arteta.

Does this victory mark a fresh start for the North London club? It’s too early to say, despite the team’s excellence deserving applause.

Arteta’s team defeated PSV 7-1, but it remains to be seen what matters to him. The only solace for Arsenal is their Champions League campaign, which may face a stern test against Real Madrid in the quarterfinals. The heavy win doesn’t necessarily mean the club is excellent, as they seem to have abandoned their core strengths.

In summary, Arsenal put up an impressive display, and Arteta made a big statement. Hopefully, they will go far in the Champions League and change their trophy-less situation.

It would be ironic if Real Madrid, which lost to Real Betis over the weekend, were to struggle in the Champions League just three days later.

Seeing Real Madrid lose in the knockout stage would be catastrophic. But playing against Atletico Madrid could have changed the tides as both sides have played a 1-1 draw in their last three meetings. However, Madrid’s monopoly in the Champions League remains intact, thanks partly to players like Rodrygo, who has been silently impressive in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
