Champions League

Paris Saint-Germain is set to host Liverpool for the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie on Wednesday night. Liverpool, currently leading the Premier League, faces a tough challenge against PSG. They have won 19 of their last 20 matches in all competitions. PSG’s winning streak reached ten games after their recent victory over Lille.

Despite topping their league phase, Liverpool had to fight hard to reach this stage. They narrowly escaped elimination after wins against Manchester City and Stuttgart. Their convincing win over Brest in the play-offs has led to this exciting two-legged clash. In the meantime, Liverpool had a break this past weekend due to their surprising FA Cup exit and are 13 points clear in the Premier League.

Paris Saint-Germain enters the match in good shape, with no injury concerns following their win over Lille. Coach Luis Enrique is expected to make a few adjustments to the lineup.

PSG predicted lineup vs Liverpool (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Vitinha, Fabian, Neves; Doue, Dembele, Barcola.

On Liverpool’s side, the team will be without a few players, including Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ibrahima Konate will, however, be in the starting lineup. Youngster Amara Nallo is suspended, and Tyler Morton is out due to a shoulder injury. Cody Gakpo might return to the starting XI after recovering from a minor injury.

Liverpool predicted lineup vs PSG (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Diaz.
