Feyenoord vs Inter Milan UCL Preview: Team News and predicted line up

Feyenoord and Inter Milan, both former UEFA Champions League winners, are set to play in the last 16 of the tournament at De Kip tonight. Feyenoord won the UCL in 1970. Since then, only Ajax has won it for the Netherlands, last in 1995.

Feyenoord is considered the underdog but has gained confidence after defeating AC Milan, winning 2-1 on aggregate. Inter, on the other hand, avoided the play-offs by finishing fourth in the league phase and secured their spot in the last 16.

Both teams are unbeaten in their last three domestic games, which boosts their confidence. Feyenoord and Inter have faced each other twice before in 2002, with Feyenoord winning the first leg 1-0 and drawing the second leg 2-2 to reach the final, where they beat Borussia Dortmund.

Feyenoord sold key striker Santiago Gimenez to AC Milan before facing them, and he scored against them. Now, they will rely on Julian Carranza, who has only one UCL goal this season. In contrast, Inter has Lautaro Martinez, who has five UCL goals so far and is a favorite to be the first goalscorer in this game.

In terms of injuries, Feyenoord will miss Calvin Stengs, Facundo Gonzalez, In-Beom Hwang, Jakub Moder, and Justin Bijlow. Givairo Read is suspended. For Inter, Carlos Augusto, Nicolas Zalewski, Yann Sommer, and Matteo Darmian are injured.

Feyenoord Predicted Line-up: Wellenreuther, Hartman, Trauner, Hancko, Smal, Milambo, Beelen, Ivanusec, Hadj Moussa, Carranza, Paixao.

Inter Predicted Line-up: J Martinez, Pavard, Acrbi, Bastoni, Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco, Thuram, L Martinez.
