Napoli returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Fiorentina, as they maintained the pressure on league leaders, Inter Milan.
Goals from Romelu Lukaku and Giacomo Raspadori sealed the victory for the Partenopei, to stay a point behind Inter.
Antonio Conte’s side opened the lead in the 26th minute courtesy of Lukaku’s rebound. The Belgian slotted in the rebound after David de Gea parried Scott McTominay’s initial strike.
The hosts doubled the lead on the hour mark, with Lukaku turning provider for Raspadori to bundle home.
Fiorentina then reduced the deficit six minutes later, as Albert Gudmundsson curled the ball past Alex Meret.
Napoli went on to gain a three points, despite as the Naples’ side ended their five-match winless streak.
The Florence side have now lost five matches in six, with the defeat at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
