Atalanta enjoyed a blistering triumph at the Allianz Stadium as they cruised to a 4-0 victory over Juventus to move to third place in Serie A.
Goals from Mateo Retegui, Marten de Roon, Davide Zappacostta and Ademola Lookman earned them the big win.
Retegui’s penalty put the visitors ahead in the 26th minute, after Weston McKennie had handled the ball inside the area.
The visitors doubled the lead just 50 seconds later, as Lookman’s shot was parried into the path of de Roon, who fired the ball home.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side added the third in an amazing manner, courtesy of Zappacosta’s strike. The Italian fullback find the back of the net after collecting Sead Kolasinac’s neat backheel in the box.
Lookman sealed the contest in the 77th minute with the fourth goal. The Nigerian sent a shot that deflected off Lloyd Kelly, Juventus goalkeeper, Michele Di Gregorio.
Atalanta are now third on the log, three points behind leaders Inter Milan, although with more goal difference.
Meanwhile, the Old Ladies remained in fourth position, six points behind Gasperini’s Atalanta.
