Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks put up a strong fight to repel a 45-point display by Luka Doncic, securing a 126-106 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. Antetokounmpo had a solid game, posting 24 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists, just shy of a triple-double.
Doncic’s impressive performance, which included 45 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists, wasn’t enough to lift the Lakers to victory. He shot 14/27 from the field, including seven three-pointers, matching his season-high scoring performance since joining the Lakers.
The Bucks’ win snapped their three-game losing streak, while the Lakers suffered their third consecutive loss. Milwaukee’s Brook Lopez contributed 23 points, and Damian Lillard added 22 points and 10 assists.
Notably, LeBron James missed his second consecutive game due to a left groin strain, and the Lakers were also without Jaxson Hayes and Rui Hachimura due to injuries.
