Baylor Scheierman’s impressive performance led the Boston Celtics to a 104-96 win over the Brooklyn Nets. Scheierman scored a career-high 20 points, with 13 of those points coming in the fourth quarter.¹ He also made six 3-pointers, including three in the fourth quarter, and beat the buzzer at the end of the third quarter with a 3-pointer that put Boston up 71-70.
The Celtics were without their top two players, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, but Scheierman’s surge helped them secure their third straight win. Coach Joe Mazzulla praised Scheierman’s defensive effort, offensive rebounding, and toughness, saying that his 3-pointers were just a bonus.
Scheierman’s performance was a standout moment in the game, with the rookie out of Creighton showing his skills on both ends of the floor. The Celtics’ win marked their ninth straight regular-season victory over the Nets.
