The Toronto Raptors demonstrated encouraging signs in their recent 117-114 loss to the Golden State Warriors. Despite missing their top four scorers and five of their top six players due to injuries, the Raptors managed to keep the game competitive.¹
Led by Immanuel Quickley’s 21 points, the Raptors showed a collective effort to counter the Warriors’ offense. Their game plan focused on denying Stephen Curry the ball, which worked effectively, limiting him to just eight shots in 25 minutes.
The Warriors, however, relied on Jimmy Butler’s triple-double (16 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists) and Draymond Green’s 21 points to secure the win. The Raptors’ performance was a positive sign, indicating that they have the potential to be a competitive team despite their 24-46 record.
