Romelu Lukaku Informs Pochettino That He Wishes To Remain At Inter

Romelu Lukaku has informed Mauricio Pochettino, who will take over as manager of Chelsea, that he intends to stay at Inter Milan despite rumors of a potential move back to west London. He seem to be content at Inter after spending the season with his old team.

The 30-year-old struggled to make an impact at Chelsea during his second tenure at Stamford Bridge before he joined Inter on loan. Just last season, Lukaku was sent back to Inter after a disappointing return to the Premier League. And even though Lukaku occasionally fills in for Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko, he appears content playing outside of the Premier League.

After informing Pochettino of this development, Lukaku will be hoping to stay in Italy next season. The forward has ten goals and six assists this season for the Italian heavyweights and will strive to keep his spot in the eleven alongside his partner-in-crime Lautaro.

It’s quite doubtful that he would return to west London now that the Blues manager has been given the task of downsizing his squad, and Chelsea have a wealth of striker options, but it’s still unclear if he will depart permanently or on loan.
