According to several transfer specialists, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City has agreed personal terms with RB Leipzig’s defender, Josko Gvardiol, in a bid to lure the highly-rated centre-back to the Etihad.
There has been an ongoing dilemma over the 21-year-old’s future after a breakout performance with Croatia at the Qatar World Cup, earning admirers from top clubs over Europe.
However, as things stand, City are said to be leading the race for the Croatian international’s signature, after agreeing personal terms with the player.
Fabrizio Romano’s report also confirms that Leipzig are demanding in excess of €100m for the Croatian defender in a bid to make him the most expensive defender of all time.
He also stated that discussion over the defender’s sale will take place between both clubs, but RB Leipzig hopes to keep Gvardiol, and won’t sell for less than €100m.
