West Ham United has rejected Manchester City’s initial £80 million plus £10 million bid for captain Declan Rice.
Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein both confirmed that City moved to rival Arsenal’s bid for Rice yesterday night by submitting a proposal worth £90m, add-ons inclusive, which has now been. rebuffed by the London club.
Recall that Arsenal has had two bids for Rice turned down, with the last one being a £75 million plus £15 million proposal.
As things stand, West Ham are said to be holding out for a deal around the region of £100m or a transfer away from the club wouldn’t be feasible for the club’s captain.
Since making his debut for The Hammers back in 2017, the 24-year-old has made 245 appearances for the side, while also propelling the club to the Europa Conference League triumph last season.
Both City and Arsenal are expected to submit an improved bid for the England international in the coming hours.
