Bernardo Silva Chooses Barcelona! Man City Star Rejects Other Offers

Manchester City star Bernardo Silva has selected Barcelona as his next club and is determined to wait as he rejects offers from other clubs. In order to hold out for the Spanish champions, Silva is reportedly going to turn down a substantial offer from Paris Saint-Germain as well as a new contract to stay at City.

The 28-year-old has spent the last six years at City, and this summer there were rumors that he might make a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese winger and midfielder, however, appears determined to wait for Barca.

But it is still unclear whether City will accept Barcelona’s offer, which is unlikely to be substantial given their exceedingly precarious financial situation. Silva still has two more years left on his contract with City, but Pep Guardiola wouldn’t stop Silva from leaving the club if the transfer amount was acceptable to City.

So Silva will still need to hold off until Barcelona has enough cash to make a competitive offer for him. For the Catalans to be able to sign him, further economic levers may need to be pulled.
