According to multiple reports, Manchester United will not offer more than £60 million for Atalanta in their pursuit of their target man Rasmus Hojlund.
United who are currently all out in the summer window for a natural 9 are said to have agreed personal terms with the 20-year-old, but will not succumb to Atalanta’s outrageous bid.
After getting discouraged from bidding for Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, high-ranking figures at United remain adamant they will sign a striker before the transfer window closes on September 1 but concede overpaying will not happen.
Recall the club has already invested £102m in signing Mason Mount from Chelsea and Andre Onana from Inter Milan.
United’s director of football John Murtough is said to be working tirelessly to broker a deal between his side and Atalanta for the signing of Hojlund who’s under contract with the Italian club until 2027 as he only joined from Sturm Graz last year.
