Southampton Rejects Liverpool Third Bid For Romeo Lavia

Liverpool have been on the lookout for Southampton’s Romeo Lavia to strenghten their midfield since Fabinho and Jordan Handerson left to other clubs this summer. Despite bringing in Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig this summer, the Reds’ midfield is still missing Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.

They are now considering a transfer for Lavia, a midfielder from Southampton. Liverpool made a third offer of £45 million ($57 million) for the Belgian star, but Southampton once more rejected it. This is because they are unwilling to allow their star midfielder depart for less than their original asking price of £50 million ($63 million).

Lavia will probably leave the club this summer even though the third offer was turned down since he is eager to go on. The Belgian international was also left off Southampton’s matchday roster for their Championship debut on August 5 against Sheffield United.

Liverpool would be taking on Chelsea in their Premier League 2023–24 debut on August 13.
