Liverpool has strengthened their squad with the signing of Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich a few hours before the closure of the summer transfer window in England.

The Reds signed the Netherlands international on a permanent deal for about €45m in total, making him the fourth player to join the Merseyside club this summer.

Gravenberch, 21, follows Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo who joined earlier on in the window.

Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com in his first media round, the former Ajax player said: “I’m very happy. Very happy that the deal is done and I’m finally here.

“If you see it from the outside, it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world. Also the fans, the stadium, I think everything from the outside is top. So that’s why [it was the right club].”

“I’m very happy. Very happy that the deal is done and I’m finally here,” Gravenberch told Liverpoolfc.com during his exclusive first interview as a Red.

“If you see it from the outside, it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world. Also the fans, the stadium, I think everything from the outside is top. So that’s why [it was the right club].

“I’m really looking forward to [being at Anfield] and I can’t wait to hear the You’ll Never Walk Alone song.

“Now we start fresh again, a new start, and I’m going to give my all for this club. [My ambitions are] to win prizes. To win prizes, play a lot and show them who we are and who I am.”

Gravenberch who signed a five-year deal will don the Reds’ No. 38 jersey.
