Jadon Sancho Opts To Leave Manchester United In January Transfer Window After Being Unable To Sort Out Differences With Erik Ten Hag

After having confrontational conversations with Erik ten Hag, Jadon Sancho is reportedly going to press for a transfer away from Manchester United in January. It has been said that at Old Trafford, the relationship between the demanding Dutch coach and the England international winger has entirely crumbled.

When the next window opens, a move that works for him will have to be fixed as there doesn’t seem to be a way back. Sancho was left out of Ten Hag’s matchday schedule for a Premier League visit to Arsenal. Ten Hag had said that the choice was motivated by training performances. Sancho responded with a statement of his own, stating that he had been used as a “scapegoat” in the process.

Sancho and his club’s manager have spoken, and according to reports, a breakup seem possible. The most likely scenario is for a loan arrangement to be reached in January, with the possibility of a permanent transfer being pushed through in the summer of 2024.

Any change will put an end to Sancho’s dismal tenure at United. The highly regarded wideman lost his spot in Gareth Southgate’s England squad after joining for £75 million ($94m) in 2021 from Bundesliga powerhouses Borussia Dortmund. He has scored just 12 goals in 82 appearances.
