Revealed: Reason Leonardo Bonucci Is Taking Legal Action Against His Former Club – Juventus

Following his deadline-day switch to Union Berlin, Leonardo Bonucci have decided to sue his old team Juventus. When Bonucci was not included in the Juve roster for the 2023–24 season and was not permitted to train with the senior team, the 36-year-old made threats of taking legal action against the club.

The center-back is suing the Turin club in court and seeking damages for allegedly not having access to sufficient training and preparation facilities. The defense attorneys will make the case that the incident hurt the defendant’s reputation and professional standing.

At the end of August, Bonucci ended his deal with Juventus and joined Union Berlin for a year. He has pledged to donate settlement money from the lawsuit to Live Onlus. and Neuroland, a group that helps the families of kids treated in the pediatric neurosurgery section of the Regina Margherita Children’s Hospital in Turin.

When Union Berlin plays Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga on Saturday, Bonucci will be hoping to make his debut for the club.
