Following the media fallout between Jason Sancho and Erik Ten Hag, Manchester United has officially banned the winger from first-team training indefinitely.
Recall that Ten Hag said Sancho was omitted from the United’s squad that faced Arsenal due to his poor training form, but the Englishman was quick to refute his coach’s claim via Twitter, now X, saying he won’t be condemned to a scapegoat.
“Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that are completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair!” Sancho’s post on X which wasn’t deleted for days read.
However, sources claim the gaffer and his player had discussed their differences, but that didn’t stop the training ban hammer from landing on the player’s head.
“Jadon Sancho will remain on a personal training programme away from the first-team group, pending resolution of a squad discipline issue,” says United’s official statement this evening.
Come this Saturday, United will host Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford and will be without core wingers Sancho and Antony, following the allegations rocking the latter.
