The 2023 Nitto ATP Finals singles field has been determined. The season finale, which will take place at the Pala Alpitour in Turin will feature Alexander Zverev and Holger Rune as the final two competitors.

The elite field now includes Zverev and Rune in addition to Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Jannik Sinner, Andrey Rublev, and Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Two players under the age of twenty will compete in the same Nitto ATP Finals for the first time since 2000, when 19-year-old Lleyton Hewitt and 20-year-old Marat Safin made their debuts. Alcaraz and Rune, both 20 years old, qualified for the tournament.

At the past ATP Finals, four of the stars have won. Roger Federer and six-time champion Djokovic could break their tie for the most titles in the history of the year-end championships (since 1970).

Zverev emerged victorious in both 2018 and 2021, Tsitsipas made history in 2019 by becoming the youngest tournament winner since Hewitt in 2001 at the age of 20, and Medvedev took home the trophy in 2020.

The top three players in the Pepperstone ATP Rankings are Djokovic, Alcaraz, and Medvedev. With a chance to win ATP Year-End No. 1 presented by Pepperstone, Djokovic is in the lead. On November 20, the day after the competition concludes, the Serbian would have reached 400 career weeks at World No. 1 if he pulls off the record-breaking eighth time. He would be the first player to accomplish the feat.

“Congratulations to all the players that have qualified for the 2023 Nitto ATP Finals. It’s a reflection of a truly impressive season. This is a unique tournament, featuring only the best of the best, with so much on the line for players. The stage is now set for an incredible final showdown in Turin,” ATP Chairman Andrea Gaudenzi said while confirming the event roaster.

Seven of this year’s eight competitors have qualified for or played in the Next Gen ATP Finals, including three champions: Tsitsipas (2018), Sinner (2019) and Alcaraz (2021).

The doubles field is also set. Ivan Dodig/Austin Krajicek, Wesley Koolhof/Neal Skupski, Rohan Bopanna/Matthew Ebden, Marcel Granollers/Horacio Zeballos, Santiago Gonzalez/Edouard Roger-Vasselin, Rajeev Ram/Joe Salisbury, Maximo Gonzalez/Andres Molteni and Rinky Hijikata/Jason Kubler will compete for the title at the Pala Alpitour.

The 2023 ATP Finals will be played at the Pala Alpitour in Turin from 12-19 November.

Prize money for the ATP Finals this year is expected to reach a record $15 million. The winner of this year’s competition will take home more than $4.8 million, which is the biggest prize money awarded to a single tennis player in history, if he lifts the trophy without dropping a set.

The Nitto ATP Finals in Turin will take place for the third time this year. On Thursday, November 9th, at 3 p.m. CET, the draw is scheduled to occur.
