Vitor Roque scored the only goal the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Company tonight, as Barcelona secures a vital 1-0 win over Osasuna to go up third on the La Liga table.
Coming from a shocking 5-3 loss to Villareal last Saturday, the Spanish giants controlled the opening tempo of the game, but couldn’t convert the chances created.
Robert Lewandowski and Ikay Gundogan both spurned clear-cut chances to put the Blaugrana ahead, before Xavi Hernandez made a change that eventually paid off.
Having failed to find the back of the net since arriving in Barca back in December 2023, 18-year-old Vitor Roque headed in from Joao Cancelo’s beautiful cross in the 63rd minute after coming on as a sub a minute earlier.

However, Osasuna’s hopes of getting back into the game were dashed in the 67th minute when Unai Garcia was sent-off for a foul on Roque.
Lamine Yamal almost grabbed a solo goal later on the encounter, but the 16-year-old’s effort was saved, as Barcelona held on to secure all points and go two points clear of Atletico Madrid who’re currently playing a goalless draw to Rayo Vallecano.
