Bryn Forbes was arrested on charges of domestic abuse last Tuesday by the San Antonio Police. The retired NBA player, Bryn Forbes, was arrested and taken into custody last Tuesday on suspicion of third-degree criminal assault on a family member by strangling and choking, according to Bexar County arrest records.
Forbes was charged with assault causing bodily harm, a misdemeanor, after a verbal altercation with his female companion turned violent on Tuesday. He was subsequently placed under arrest.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Forbes, 30, was still being held at the Bexar County Jail on a $7,500 bond, according to a jail spokesperson. It was unclear right away if he was represented by counsel.
On Monday, around 2:17 a.m, the San Antonio Police stated that the family member in question called following her deliverance from Forbes’ assault.
However, Forbes was taken into custody late on Tuesday morning after leaving the area before the police arrived.
Before Forbes retirement, he played for four teams during his seven-year spell. Firstly, as an undrafted free agent, he spent his first four seasons with the San Antonio Spurs. He then moved to Denver Nuggets in 2021 after playing one more season with the Spurs and signing a free agent contract with the Milwaukee Bucks.
